Leader x2 Is Twice As Nice

Resilience means coming back again and again and again – I’m proud to say we’ve done just that!  

Commvault was named a Leader – for the 13th consecutive time – in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software Solutions.

In the same week, we were also named a Leader and took the top position in the GigaOm Sonar for Cloud-Native Data Protection². This is a moment to celebrate and a moment to realize just how critical modern cyber resilience is today for businesses around the world.

Cyber resilience is the key to business continuity, and we believe recognition like this validates that Commvault’s products and end-to-end strategy are truly differentiated in the market. Customers need to know when the chips are down, they can recover and be resilient, and that’s what we uniquely enable them to do.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant is a culmination of research in a specific market, giving you a wide-angle view of the relative positions of the market’s competitors. We feel our ability to empower customers globally has – again, and again, and again – fueled our strong quarterly results, as we just reported our third quarter of double-digit consecutive revenue growth.

The World Moving Forward Is Very Cloudy

Innovation and the unwavering commitment to solve our customers’ biggest challenges continues to drive us every day and into the future. Gartner is predicting that “By 2027, more than 50% of enterprise-managed data will be created and processed outside the data center or cloud, which is a major increase from 20% in 2023¹,”and we feel we have developed the cloud-native software to do it right.

To that end, I’m thrilled that GigaOm also published its Sonar for Cloud-Native Data Protection, naming Commvault as the top Leader. This Sonar thoroughly evaluated 13 vendors across 10 key characteristics for cloud-native data protection – and we knocked it out of the park. It’s an innovative approach to delivering cyber resilience for the hybrid and cloud-first enterprise.
