What is Microsoft 365 Backup Storage?

Microsoft 365 Backup Storage solution provides “ultra-fast” recovery of Exchange, OneDrive, and SharePoint, all kept within the Microsoft 365 security boundary. Using Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, you can:

• Backup all or select SharePoint sites, OneDrive accounts, and Exchange mailboxes in your tenant.
• Restore files, sites, and mailbox items in your tenant in parallel to a prior point in time in a granular manner or at a massive scale.
• Search or filter through backups using key metadata like site names, key owners, items, or event types within specific date ranges of restore points.

Microsoft has made its Microsoft 365 Backup Storage APIs available to select partners, including Commvault. Customers now can leverage Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, called Commvault Cloud with Premium Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, within Commvault Cloud.
