Gary Merrill

As Chief Commercial Officer, Gary leads the company’s global sales and partner teams and is responsible for accelerating the adoption of the Commvault Cloud platform, expanding the Company’s routes to market, and scaling its high-growth SaaS engine.  
 
Previously, Gary served as Commvault’s Chief Financial Officer, utilizing his deep financial expertise and innovative strategies to transform the Company’s finance organization and accelerate its successful transition to a subscription and SaaS business model. Gary also served as Commvault’s Chief of Business Operations. In both roles, Gary partnered closely with field leaders to advance sales operations and revenue growth initiatives while driving even greater value for customers and partners. This unique blend of experiences made Gary the ideal Chief Commercial Officer.  
 
Gary began his career with Arthur Anderson LLP in its audit practice serving companies in various industries and gained finance experience working with several global publicly traded companies. Gary, who joined Commvault in 1997, obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Elizabethtown College. .
