Black History Month Celebrating Black History Month Commvault is excited to begin Black History Month. Keep checking back to learn more about how the Vaulter community will be honoring Black History Month. By Martha Delehanty | February 1, 2023 We’re thrilled to kick off Black History Month at Commvault as we celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of African Americans. This is a time to discuss and champion a fairer, more equitable future. It is more important than ever to celebrate and acknowledge Black History month – honoring those who have worked to end oppression and soberly acknowledging the significant work that still remains. Over the past few years (and even weeks), we have seen traumatic events that have captured headlines and sparked discussion on racial justice. Inequity persists in healthcare, education, voting rights, housing, and the basic human right to live without fear of violence. That’s why at Commvault, we courageously move forward with discussion and exchange of ideas – we won’t change the conversation unless we have the conversation. The theme of this year’s Black History Month is Resistance, in recognition of those who have fought and continue to fight against oppression of all kinds. This February, we remember the heroes of Black history. We can honor their fight by condemning racism and championing change during Black History Month and every day of the year. Within Commvault, we will have an internal focus on “equity in action” as we continue to foster a culture of belonging. And even though February is Black History Month in North America, our entire global Vaulter community will be connecting and celebrating Black History Month over the next few weeks! Our DE&I team, in partnership with our Multi-Culture Employee Resource Group (ERG), is hosting a variety of internal events to drive further awareness and celebration of how Black Americans’ rich legacy of art, resistance, and resilience has contributed to every aspect of American progress and culture. Stay tuned for more to come on how we’re celebrating Black History Month across our Vaulter community.
